Mona 'Susanne' Hall, obituary
WARREN — Mona Susanne Smith Hall, 84, passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2026.
Born in Washington Heights, New York, New York, Susanne was the daughter of Lewis and Adele Smith. She attended Irvington High School, graduating in 1959. She then went to the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. While working in New York City at House & Garden Magazine, she met the love of her life, Theodore Raymond Fraser Hall, who she married on May 6, 1967 in Irvington, New York. She worked at a variety of places throughout her life, including BM Clark, People’s Heritage Bank, Camden Printing, and MBNA.
Susanne was a kindhearted and generous person who would always help anyone or any pet in need. She found great joy in painting, finding inspiration from Grandma Moses, as well as writing poetry. Above all, Susanne’s greatest happiness in her life came from spending time with her husband, Ted “C”, and her three daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Susanne and Ted always created a warm, loving home with lots of laughter in New York, New Jersey, and in Appleton, Maine. They raised their girls, had many well-loved pets, and created a life centered around happiness, love, hard work, and togetherness.
Susanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ted, in 2007.
She leaves her loving daughters, Waverly Woll (Brad) of Warren, Maine, Elisabeth Parron (Robert) of Holland, Massachusetts, Laura Leung (Howard) of Holden, Massachusetts; cherished grandchildren, Charlotte Macioch (Chase), Lindsay Burns, Matthew Burns (Ashley), Madeline Leung, Sarah Parron, Evan Woll, Liam Woll; and great-grandchildren, Chase II, Henley, Cienna, Boston, Cortland, Gammon, Tahvo, Croy, Brystol, and Kennadi; as well as a nephew, nieces, extended family in Canada, and many dear friends made along the way.
At Susanne’s request, no services will be held. The family appreciates your love and support during this difficult time.
