Perennial Combinations online talk with Merryspring Nature Center
Event Date
Tuesday, April 21, 2026 - 12:00 pmJohn Fromer will lead an online presentation via Teams called, Perennial Combinations, on Tuesday, April 21, at 12 p.m., hosted by Merryspring Nature Center .
"Gardening with perennials is part science and part art," said Merryspring, in a news release. "Selecting perennials that thrive in your garden is the science part. How you arrange these perennials is where the fun begins. So many choices! To make those decisions, you need information and a little artistic flair. In this talk, you will get the science and also see examples you can use in your own gardens. Detailed information for any gardener level."
John Fromer has been a Maine Master Gardener Volunteer since 1999. Gardening with perennials since 1983, he has grown many varieties in Appleton and in seaside gardens on Islesboro. His interests are color combinations and how the plants grow. Fromer worked in the perennial department at Plants Unlimited for a season gaining valuable knowledge into individual cultivars of perennials you can grow in your gardens.
