Millay House Rockland hosts Conversations with Dead Poets: A Panel Discussion
Join Millay House Rockland, Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 7 to 9 p.m., for Conversations with Dead Poets: A Panel Discussion.
Four contemporary writers will speak to their relationships with poets from earlier eras who left a significant mark on American culture. The conversation includes Maine’s Poet Laureate Julia Bouwsma on Edna St. Vincent Millay, Rosa Lane on Emily Dickinson, Samaa Abdurraqib on June Jordan, and A. O. Scott on Thom Gunn.
Hosted by Millay House Rockland, the event will be presented at Arctic Tern Books & Sanctuary in their new event space at 434 Main Street in Rockland. This event is free if attending in person, or $25 to live stream via Zoom. Registration is required whether attending in person or streaming. Millay House Rockland, 198A Broadway, is a nonprofit organization that champions writers, as well as creators and practitioners of all the arts. Central to the mission is rejuvenating the literary landmark that is the birthplace of the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet.
