ROCKLAND — The Medomak 11- and 12-year-old Little League all-star softball team extended its winning streak to two in the District 2 tournament with a mercy-rule victory over Oceanside in Rockland on Monday, June 24. 

Medomak earned a 13-2 victory over Oceanside in five innings. 

Medomak plated one run in the second inning, four in the third and eight in the fifth inning. 

Oceanside scored two runs in the fourth inning. 

At the plate for Medomak were Kytana Williamson (triple, single, four RBIs), Olivia Pelkey (three singles, four RBIs), Kendall Simmons (double), Kaylee Collamore (single). 

At the plate for Oceanside were Aubri Hoose (single), Jordan Hoose (three singles), Emma Morrison (two singles) and Lyleigh Reed (single). 

In the pitcher’s circle for Medomak was Williamson, who fanned eight batters and walked three. 

The Oceanside pitching staff combined for nine strikeouts and 17 walks. 

With the victory, Medomak advanced to the district championship game on Saturday, June 29 at 5 p.m.
