Ove the course of July, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) Midcoast division, the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office and the Searsport Police Department have been conducting a joint investigation into the sale of cocaine base from two homes in Searsport. On July 17, they obtained search warrants for 7 and 11 Dead Brook Lane, and arrested four men and one woman on drug trafficking charges, according to a July 28 news release from the Maine Office of Public Safety.
The warrants were executed early in the morning. As a result of several undercover buys of drugs from the homes, MDEA charged:

Christopher Babb, 27, of Bronx, New York, with Unlawful Trafficking Schedule “W” Drugs Class B. Bail was set at $500, and after his initial appearance, bail was set to $2,500;

Over the next few days, MDEA said in the news release that it learned that Alyssa Heroux, homeowner of 7 Dead Brook Lane, was allegedly selling cocaine base from her residence with an unidentified male. Agents again conducted undercover buys of the drug from the residence and as a result MDEA obtained another search warrant for 7 Dead Brook Lane in Searsport, the release said.
Early in the morning, July 25, MDEA agents, with the assistance of the Maine State Police tactical team and the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office, executed the search warrant at 7 Dead Brook Lane.
Alyssa Heroux, 36, and Mujaredeen Hassan, of Bronx, New York, were arrested. Heroux was charged with Unlawful Trafficking of Schedule W drugs and several arrest warrants. No bail was allowed.

Agents seized $9,300 in suspected drug proceeds and 10 grams of crack cocaine. Estimated street value of the cocaine is $,2700.
Carchide, Babb, Heroux and Hassan are currently being held at the Waldo County Jail awaiting their initial appearance in court. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
In the release, the MDEA said it, "stands committed to working with all federal, state, county, and local law enforcement partners in order to continue to identify and disrupt drug trafficking organizations who are attempting to distribute illicit drugs like fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine in the State of Maine."
