Lyman-Morse seeks Camden approval for harbor front overhaul

CAMDEN — Lyman-Morse has submitted plans drawn by Gartley and Dorsky Engineering and Surveying to demolish and rebuild a series of buildings on the east side of Camden Harbor.
The existing buildings, representing decades of add-ons to a boatyard that has seen multiple owners, partially burned June 13 following a fire in the back rooms of the Rhumb Line restaurant there.
Lyman-Morse purchased the boatyard in 2015.
New structures are proposed to replace the old buildings, if the Camden Planning Board approves following a site plan review Oct. 15.

The application before the Camden Planning Board is for a site plan review with changes to an approved plan triggering a full review of “a proposal is to demolish buildings damaged/destroyed by 2020 fire and rebuild in same area; work to include site improvements and upgrades to existing facilities as well.”
The Meeting will be held by teleconference through Zoom and streamed at www.youtube.com/TownofCamdenMaine.
During the Public Hearing portion of the meeting, the YouTube platform will allow anyone watching to publicly comment as allowed by the Board or the Ordinance.
Comments may also be submitted in advance of the meeting provided they are received by noon the day of the meeting.
