Guided hike at Langlais Art Preserve with Georges River Land Trust
Join Georges River Land Trust, Saturday, February 21, for a guided group hike along the trails of the Langlais Art Preserve in Cushing. Hikers should meet at the trailhead at 10 a.m. The hike will cover 2.75 miles of trails, with slight elevation and portions of uneven ground.
Owned and operated by Georges River Land Trust, the Langlais Art Preserve encompasses the homestead and outdoor art environment of Maine sculptor Bernard Langlais (1921–1977) in Cushing, Maine.
"With over a dozen extant wood sculptures by the artist and over 80 acres of undeveloped conservation land, including woodland hiking trails, as well as a robust program of family nature walks and creative workshops, the preserve is a unique destination for art and nature experiences for all ages," said GRLT, in a news release.
Georges River Land Trust offers guided group hikes year-round, exploring their 23 nature preserves from Montville to Cushing.
This walk is open to all ages. Waterproof boots are recommended and ice grips may be helpful depending on conditions.

Directions: The trailhead for the Langlais Art Preserve is located at 576 River Rd in Cushing. The parking lot at the preserve will be plowed.
