Grace Institute memorabilia sought for event in St. George
If you, your parents, grandparents or ancestors attended school in St. George, at any time since 1936, they likely had classes at the
Grace Institute, according to St. George school board member Jennifer Garrett, in a news release. Funded by the family of Lillius Grace, it provided classes for students in high school for years and later to students in middle school.
"That history is part of our legacy and we don’t want to forget it," said Garrett. "So look around and see what treasures you have saved from the past that were made at the Grace Institute. It could be wooden or metal projects, furniture or toys, clothing, pillows, or stuffed animals. Check out all the boxes in the attic."
A special night is planned at the new Grace Innovation Center to celebrate the Center's connection with the past, see what is being done today, and how the Center is paving the way for future generations.
