Rockland man accused of posting private, sexually explicit images of minors
ROCKLAND – A Rockland man has been arrested and police are searching a second suspect as the result of an investigation into the dissemination of sexually explicit materials involving young women and girls.
Rockland Police arrested Patrick Corcoran, 25, on Friday, Feb. 6, on a warrant for one count of felony possession of sexually explicit material of a minor and multiple counts of unauthorized dissemination of private images.
Corcoran was released on $2,500 cash bail Feb. 6.
The arrest comes after a months-long investigation by Rockland's Criminal Investigations Division into the online distribution of hundreds of nude images, including images of teenage girls, who were younger than 18 years old when the photographs were taken, said Rockland Police in a news release Feb. 7.
According to the affidavit filed by Rockland Police in Knox County Court, the investigation began in April 2025 into the unlawful dissemination of certain private images on a Discord server/chatroom.
One of the victims met with police after she had been alerted by a Facebook user that her photos were posted on the Discord server/chatroom and the server was also sharing private images of girls who all attended the same local high school, according to the affidavit.
An arrest warrant on the charge of unauthorized dissemination of private images is still pending for a second suspect who lives outside Knox County.
The Knox County District Attorney’s Office victim witness advocate will be reaching out to the victims of the crimes.
