Four arrested following execution of Brooks search warrant where drugs, firearms found
BROOKS — Four people were arrested following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Gardner Drive, according to a June 20, media report from Maine State Police.
The search was conducted June 18, with troopers from the Central Field Troop and deputies from the Waldo County Sheriff's Office taking part in the operation, in addition to an investigator from the Maine Departmet of Corrections.
The search was the result of a months-long investigation, during which troopers were able to identify the residence as a source of supply for fentanyl and crack cocaine in the greater Waldo County area. Multiple firearms, a significant amount of cash, and approximately 87 grams of fentanyl powder, five grams of crack cocaine, and other illegally possessed prescriptions were found as a result of the search.
Arrested as a result of the search were Nature Gordon, 21, of Brooklyn, New York, who was charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs; Ian Freeman, 38, of Brooks, and Jamie Freeman, 39, of Brooks, were both charged with aggravated trafficking of a schedule W drug and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person; and Joseph Hills, 38, also of Brooks, was charged with unlawful possession of schedule W drugs.
Fentanyl, a powerful opioid that is roughly 100 times stronger than morphine, can be fatal in amounts as small as two grams.
All individuals were transported to the Waldo County Jail. The investigation continues.
