Clubs at Rockland Public Library in September and beyond
Rockland Public Library offers adult and youth clubs in September. Some are new. Some are continous.
The Library provides the following descriptions:
Cribbage Club at the Rockland Public Library will hold its first gathering on Monday, September 22, at 6 p.m., and will meet on the 4th Monday of the month in the Board Room.
The group is for all ages and abilities. Participants are invited to play a game or two, a great way to keep your mind sharp and meet new friends. Cribbage boards and cards are available, but participants are welcome to bring their own. New players are welcome.
Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult and may not be left unattended.
Youth Trading Card Club
Monday, September 22 at 4 PM
New! The 4th Monday of the month in the Children’s Room.School aged kids are invited to get together, play card games, and talk about everything cards- for Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, Lorcana, sports cards, and more! For those who bring their own cards, trading is optional (and if dueling, it is optional to play for "antes" with the possibility of losing cards).
For people who don't yet have their own cards, there will be Pokemon coloring/activity pages, as well as plain paper to draw/create their own Pokemon designs. Those who choose not to trade or play can just show/look at each other's cards, watch others play, or create.

Nursing Circle
This circle welcomes expectant and nursing families of all stripes with their nurslings of all ages. Come with questions, curiosities, or just to hang out or vent. Refreshments and positive vibes provided.
Free to attend, located in the Children's Room at Rockland Public Library.
The gathering will be facilitated by Lulu Churchill (CLC) with input about library resources from children’s librarian Katie Drago.Lulu Churchill completed her certification in Lactation Management through the Center for Breastfeeding at the Healthy Children Project. She is the mother of two little ones and lives in Camden.

NEW Teen Advisory Committee Pizza Party Tuesday, Sept 23rd from 3:30-4:30
Get involved with the library and earn volunteer credit for assisting with programs, art, and events that matter to you and your community! (And eat pizza!!)
Join Miss Katie for our first Teen Advisory meeting. We will be celebrating, snacking, and sharing ideas. Grades 6th-12th are invited to brainstorm and help us make the library a better place for teens.

Film Club at the Rockland Public Library will meet on Tuesday, September 23 in the Library's Board Room. It’s like a book club but with movies! Watch the selected film on your own and then join the group for a lively discussion each month. Plots, themes, characters, soundtracks, symbolism, cinematography, and more are all discussion options. From casual viewers to cinephiles, all levels of interest in film are welcome.
This month’s discussion is centered on the 1969 coming of age drama Kes.
