Local artist Carol L. Douglas unveils her newest collection of boat paintings during Third Thursday in Camden, Thursday, Aug. 21, from 5-7 p.m.
Douglas is known for her plein air landscapes and her deep affection for Maine’s working waterfronts, according to a news release.
"In this collection, she captures the grace of windjammers, the grit of lobster boats, and the quiet dignity of vessels at rest," said the release. "Each painting is a love letter to Camden’s maritime heritage."
“Boats are not just beautiful shapes on the water—they’re part of our stories, our livelihoods, and our sense of home,” said Douglas
