Fri, 07/10/2026 - 9:20am
The North Atlantic Blues Festival returns to the Rockland public landing this weekend, beginning Friday, July 10. The City is expecting a major influx of visitors; traffic will be heavier than usual, according to Rockland's police and public works' Facebook pages.
To help prepare for a smoother navigation through downtown RPD has provided a breakdown of road closures and safety reminders:
Harbor Park & Public Landing
Thursday Night: ALL vehicles must be cleared out of the park for event setup.
Friday – Sunday: Harbor Park will be completely closed to regular vehicle traffic for the duration of the festival.
Saturday Night Main Street Closure (Club Crawl!)
6:30 PM: Main Street CLOSED to vehicle traffic. Please Use Route 1A (Broadway) to avoid closure. Vehicles must be OFF Main Street by 6:30PM.
6:30 PM – 12:00 AM: Main Street will be CLOSED to all vehicles for the annual Maine Street Club Crawl. Make sure to check the local detour maps before heading out!
A Quick Safety Reminder: Open alcohol containers are strictly prohibited on Main Street outside of designated restaurant and bar patios. Rockland PD will have an increased presence all weekend, including active traffic enforcement and OUI details.
Keep it fun, keep it safe, and never drive buzzed!
"Thank you and let’s have a safe and unforgettable weekend of blues!" said RPD.
