Rose aficionado Patricia McLean will lead the outdoor Rose Day presentation, A Personal Journey with Roses at Merryspring Nature Center on Saturday, June 27th at 9:00 am.
The silken petals of roses have brought beauty, perfume, and medicine since time immemorial. Roses offer delicious colors and fragrance to gardens throughout the world, blooming in happy profusion. In this program, Patrisha McLean will share how she created a rose sanctuary in Camden, and how these roses fostered creativity and healing. She will also provide tips on growing hardy, heirloom roses organically in Maine.
This free, in-person event is sponsored by Camden Riverhouse Hotel.
