Friday, June 12, 2026 - 04:00 pmThe Rockport Donut Festival, presented by the Town of Rockport, returns for its fourth year on June 12 and 13, 2026.
While paying homage to the history of the donut, the two-day summer kick-off event will be packed with family-friendly activities in downtown Rockport and Marine Park, including live music, food trucks, a parade, artisan market, the CedarWorks Kids Tent with activities by the Penobscot Bay YMCA, the Salty Seal Beer Garden, and thousands of donuts from vendors from the Midcoast and beyond.
Gates open at 4 p.m. on Friday and at 7 a.m. on Saturday. Admission to this volunteer-supported event is free, thanks to the generous support of individual and business sponsors and on-site donations from the community.
Featured donut vendors include Ruckus Donuts, Old Time Donuts, The Only Doughnut, Eighty 8 Donut Cafe, Graffiti Donuts, The Donut Grove, and The Holy Donut.
"Expect more Maine-based donut vendors to be added to the line-up as the festival nears," said the Town, in a news release.
Savory and alternative food options will be offered by a variety of vendors and food trucks. Visit the Salty Seal Beer Garden with Tap Truck 207 for a variety of beers and signature cocktails, and a Friday night happy hour will offer a raw bar and donut themed cocktails.
Live music and dancing will be a major festival attraction on both Friday and Saturday. The Undertow Brass Band takes the stage at 7 p.m. on Friday night. Saturday will feature live music throughout the day and evening with a grand finale community contra dance with Belfast Flying Shoes at 7 p.m. All Rockport Donut Festival events are FREE to the public.
The community is encouraged to register in advance for the 5K Donut Dash Fun Run and the Dash for the Donuts Lobster Crate Race for a nominal fee, and to compete in the Homemade Donut Contest. “It has been said that the esteemed Captain Hanson Gregory of Rockport’s Glen Cove invented the donut with a hole in the center in 1847,” says Rockport Town Manager Jon Duke. “We are looking forward to celebrating that legacy with our neighbors – and with people from all over Maine and beyond – with an outrageous amount of fun and DONUTS!”
