We are writing to express a profound thank you to all our firefighters and EMS workers for their bravery, skill, and dedication in this life-saving work, and to their families.  And, a hat’s off to the source of private funds that covered the Rockland first responder out-of-pocket screening costs. 

The PenBay Pilot does us all a service to bring to our attention these early diagnostic screenings as well as the sobering “Line of Duty Death” occupational cancer data shared.

Hopefully all our Midcoast first responders can have such early screenings.
