Youth ages 10-19 are invited to join writer Brook Merrow for a 4-day workshop at Rockland Public Library to create their own short story or start a chapter book. All genres are welcome.
The workshop will take place July 6 - 9, from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m., in the RPL Board Room.
Merrow will be providing lessons, inspiration, and facilitating peer editing.
Brook Merrow is returning for her 2nd summer of teaching this program. She grew up on the coast of Maine and has taught writing at the middle school, high school, and college levels. According to a Library news release, she loves irreverent humor, tasteless movies, exercise of any kind, and precious animal videos. She recently published Trapped, a Maine mystery.
