BELFAST — For the fourth year in a row, Belfast businesses and residents will be forming teams from Thursday to Saturday, May 6 - 8, 2021 to clean up the approximately 59 miles of roadside in their city.

“Our amazing volunteers have picked up a total of 12.79 tons of roadside trash!” said organizers, in a news release. “In 2018, 500+ volunteers picked up 4.27 tons of trash; 2019, 600+ volunteers picked up a total of 5.43 tons; and in 2020 (during the pandemic), 600+ volunteers still hit the streets collecting 3.9 tons. Again, 12.79 TOTAL TONS of trash and litter that will no longer make our streets unsightly. And, unfortunately, there’s more out there – lots more.”
