The National Society of High School Scholars announced April 30 that Christopher Taylor, of Swanville, was selected to become a member of the organization.

The Society recognizes top scholars who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship and community commitment.

Taylor is a member of the Belfast Area High School Class of 2026. He played football and basketball all four years of high school, was on the honor roll, and he volunteered to help with the unified basketball team. He was accepted to four colleges and has decided to attend the University of Maine in the fall.
