'Rolling Back the River' novelist Paul Guernsey to speak at Trout Unlimited meeting
Event Date
Tuesday, February 10, 2026 - 07:00 pmGeorges River Trout Unlimited (GRTU) welcomes Paul Guernsey to speak at its next meeting in Rockport, February 10.
Guernsey is a novelist, a former instructor in writing at Unity College, a former editor and associate publisher of Fly Rod & Reel Magazine, and a lifetime TU member. He will be talking about and reading from his new (and fourth) novel, Rolling Back the River, a fictional adventure story about a Maine angler and outdoor writer who travels to Patagonia on a quest to catch some of the few remaining, fast disappearing, Argentinian landlocked salmon—all of which (in real life!) are descended from fish taken from Sebago Lake in 1903.
The GRTU meeting will be held upstairs in the fly shop at Maine Sport in Rockport. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. with “Trout Talk,” an informal gathering for those who wish to visit before the presentation. The formal meeting and featured presentation begin at 7 p.m.
GRTU conducts a raffle directly following the speaker.
GRTU meetings are free and open to the public.
