On Saturday, Aug. 1, at 4 p.m., The Resonauts will play a free concert as part of Searsmont Town Library's 'Live Outside' the Library concert series.

On tour in Maine from their home in Tennessee, The Resonauts are an acoustic quartet consisting of Troy Gilchrist (guitars), Lee Thomas (fiddle), Thomas Townsley (mandolin), and Clint Hartzell (bass, from Maine). They play a mix of jazz, bluegrass, and pop with an emphasis on joy and excitement. 

Their original works consist of progressive Americana, both instrumentals and songs.

"With no single characteristic describing their sound best, it is their authentic and dynamic presence on stage that brings joy to lovers of any genre," said a news release.

If the weather permits and is comfortable, the concert will be held on the Community Center lawn (37 Main Street South). Bring your camp chairs or a blanket.  If the weather is unpleasant, the concert will take place inside the community room (seats provided).

Live Outside the Library is made free by the Onion Foundation, the Friends of Searsmont Library, and fundraising by the library's Board of Trustees.
