John Fromer will lead an outdoor presentation on Pollinator Friendly Flowers at Merryspring Nature Center on Tuesday, August 11 at 12:00 pm.
There are many new ornamental flowing plants available at local garden centers. As breeders work to create new introductions to the market, they often cross different varieties which can create beautiful flowers that are not friendly to pollinators. This talk will start in the hexagon and go out to the different gardens at Merryspring, including the native pollinator garden to look at examples of different flower designs.
This in-person talk is part of the Summer Talk Series sponsored by Camden Riverhouse Hotel. Attendance is free for members; $10 for non-members. Merryspring is your community nature center offering walking trails, cultivated gardens, wildlife, and ecology and horticulture educational programs all year round. The park is located at the end of Conway Road, just off of Route 1 in Camden behind Hannaford Shopping Plaza.
