'Murder in Mud Season: A Night of Noir' Maine Crime Writers reading event

Wednesday, April 15, 2026 - 06:30 pm to 08:00 pmDiscover your new favorite crime writer, Wednesday, April 15, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Rockport Public Library, during “Murder in Mud Season,” a lively and spine-tingling event, according to the Library.
More than a dozen acclaimed and up-and-coming mystery, horror, and crime writers will read 5-minute selections from their recent works. In between authors, there will be jokes, trivia, snacks, and raffles.
The event is presented by Maine Crime Writers, a self-described “merry band of mystery, suspense, thriller, and true crime writers who live in and write about the great state of Maine.”
Writers participating include Bruce Robert Coffin, Paul Doiron, Tess Gerritson, Matt Cost, Allison Keeton, Maureen Anne Jennings, Maureen Miliken, Jon Lewis, Anne Britting Oleson, and Julia Spencer-Fleming.
The event will be hosted by Maine crime writers Robert T. Kelley and Jule Selbo.
The event will be limited to 75 attendees, who will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Books will be available for purchase.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.
