Michael Burke to discuss 'The Art of the Myth' in Camden
Quarry Hill is collaborating with Camden Public Library in welcoming author Michael Burke to discuss his collection of essays, The Art of the Myth. Burke will speak in the Camden Public Library’s Picker Room on Wednesday, July 23, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Michael Burke is an author and professor emeritus, Colby College. His collection of 25 essays spans more than 35 years of experience living in and writing about Maine. The Art of the Myth captures Maine’s lost, quirky, and hidden aspects. Burke will discuss the book’s inspiration, share excerpts, and explore the craft of writing creative nonfiction. Burke’s books will be available for purchase and signing.
