Merryspring talk: Closing the Perennial Garden
John Fromer will lead an outdoor presentation on Closing the Perennial Garden, Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 12 p.m., at Merryspring Nature Center.
Fromer, a Maine Master Gardener Volunteer and long-time perennial gardener, will look at the perennial gardens at Merryspring to discuss the different perennials and how to care for them. Fromer's presentation is all about when and how to put the garden to bed. He will discuss how and when to mulch, cutting back, how late to divide plants, reviewing the garden for next year, and planting spring bulbs.
This in-person talk is the last of the 2025 Summer Talk Series co-sponsored by Reny’s – A Maine Adventure and Camden Riverhouse Hotel.
Attendance is free for members; $10 for non-members.
