Hope Works presents "Hope General Store," Thursday, Oct. 9, from 6-7 p.m., at 443 Camden Road, Hope, ME 04847.

Hope General Store has been serving the Hope community since 1832.

"Join us at the Hope Library as we discuss our journey from first hearing about Hope General, purchasing the store, and now finding ourselves in our 7th year of ownership," said a news release provided by Hope Library. "We will discuss some of the biggest challenges we have faced, some of our biggest wins, and how we hope to carry the store through its Bicentennial in 2032."

This program is a part of the Hope Works series.

Refreshments will be provided.
