Author discussion in: 'What Did She Know and When Did She Know It?'
Join authors Maureen Anne Jennings (Bartender Wanted and One Too Many) and Laura Bonazzoli (Our Share of Morning and Consecration Pond), Thursday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m., at Rockland Public Library, for “What Did She Know and When Did She Know It: Revealing Secrets in Fiction.” How do writers share their stories’ secrets, and how can readers discover them?
Along with their conversation about revealing fiction’s mysteries and secrets, Bonazzoli will read from Our Share of Morning, and Jennings will read from Bartender Wanted, the first title in her Rose Leary Mystery series.
Maureen Jennings has worn the hats of an editor, journalist, copywriter, publishing consultant, media manager, book festival director, Fillmore East staffer, and publican. She also worked her way through college at the infamous White Horse Tavern. Her short fiction has appeared in anthologies including Traveler’s Tales Italy, as well as in various periodicals. Jennings writes The Rose Leary Mystery Series. She lives in Rockland, where she edits fiction and reads as many novels as she possibly can.
Laura Bonazzoli’s 2022 novel-in-stories, Consecration Pond, was praised by Publishers Weekly as “poetic and haunting.” Her historical novel, Our Share of Morning, was published in September by Sibylline Press. Bonazzoli has also published short fiction, poetry, and essays in dozens of literary magazines and several anthologies. She works as a freelance editor and ghostwriter, and teaches creative writing with Maine Media Workshops and other venues. She holds an MFA from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
