Maine State Credit Union welcomes Mark O’Donal as Vice President, Commercial Banker for Rockland region
Maine State Credit Union welcomes Mark O’Donal as its new Vice President, Commercial Banker, serving businesses and members across the Rockland and Midcoast Maine region.
“Mark is not only an experienced commercial banker but also someone who genuinely cares about the success of Maine’s businesses and communities,” said Stephen Wallace, President and CEO, in a news release. ”His values align perfectly with our mission, and we’re excited to have him on board.”
A lifelong Mainer, O’Donal has deep ties to the community through years of coaching and volunteering with his children, as well as active participation in the Camden Area Business Group and Rock Coast Networkers. His decision to join Maine State Credit Union was inspired by his family’s connection to the organization.
“My dad has been a member for over 30 years through his career with the State of Maine and has always spoken so highly of the Credit Union," said O'Donal. "I wanted to work for an organization that prioritizes people and community. Even as it grows, Maine State Credit Union remains dedicated to Maine—by Maine people and for Maine people—and I’m proud to be part of that.”
O'Donal joins Maine State CU with more than nine years of commercial banking experience at Camden National Bank, as well as prior roles at CedarWorks, Athenahealth, and MBNA. A graduate of the University of Maine, he also holds Notary Public and NMLS-licensed professional designations.
"O'Donal’s approach to relationship banking makes him an excellent fit for the team," said Bruce Harrington, Senior Vice President and Head of Commercial Lending. "Mark has built his career on trust, community relationships, and doing what’s right for his clients. His understanding of the Midcoast market, combined with his financial expertise, will bring tremendous value to our members and commercial lending program.”
Beyond his professional work, O'Donal is an avid fly fisherman who enjoys spending time casting lines in some of Maine’s most iconic rivers.
