Rockport, ME – Lace up your running shoes (and maybe your turkey feathers!) for the Penobscot Bay YMCA’s annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk on Friday, November 28 at 8:30 AM in Rockport. This beloved community tradition welcomes runners, walkers, families, and friends of all ages. New this year, we’re hosting a costume contest with individual and group prizes for the most festive, funny, and creative looks.

Returning for its second year is the free Tot Trot at 8:00 AM, open to children ages 5 and under. Little trotters can enjoy their very own pint-sized dash to the finish line and celebrate with big cheers and big smiles.

The first 250 Turkey Trot registrants receive a free long-sleeved Turkey Trot t-shirt. After the race, stay for the annual pancake breakfast and awards ceremony, free for all paid participants and just $5 for spectators. All proceeds support the YMCA’s wellness and community programs, including free social programs for Active Older Adults and LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA, a no-cost, 12-week program for cancer survivors.
