Logan Bailey earns Eagle Scout rank after completing landscaping and bench project at Rocky Coast Home, Thomaston
Logan Russell Bailey, a member of Boy Scout Troop 254 in Warren, was recognized March 1 in a ceremony held at the Warren Congregational Church for earning his Eagle Scout rank.
Logan's Eagle Scout project was entitled “Benches and Flowers for Rocky Coast Home”.
After spending years visiting the residents of the Volunteers of America Rocky Coast Home in Thomaston during the holidays as both a Cub Scout and Boy Scout, Logan decided to do something for them as his Eagle Scout project.
He cleared out and reshaped the garden bed at the entrance to the facility and planted new plants and flowers. He also oversaw the design and construction of three wooden benches placed outside the facility.
Logan started work on his project in early 2025 and after 112 hours of work, the project was completed in August 2025.
His Eagle Scout Board of Review was held on October 20, 2025. He earned a total of 30 merit badges and a bronze palm.
Moose Crossing Garden Center, Viking Lumber, Meklin & Sons, Gophers, Second Congregational Church of Warren, Troop 254, and family provided donations, their space and time to help the project come together.
