Knox County Criminal Docket closed cases
ROCKLAND – The following cases were closed in the state court in Knox County from Feb. 9-13.
Travis M. Bubar, 56, of North Haven, aggravated criminal mischief on North Haven Sept. 18, 2023, two years in jail with all but 90 days suspended, probation two years.
Alan Grindle, 50, of Cushing, aggravated criminal mischief, domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal threatening, and domestic violence reckless conduct, all in Cushing Oct. 25, 2025, all dismissed; violating condition of release in Cushing Dec. 11, 2025, $300 fine; violating protection order in Cushing Dec. 11, 2025, $300 fine all suspended.
The victim later recanted the charges of aggravated criminal mischief, domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal threatening, and domestic violence reckless conduct. A document in the court file stated that the dismissal of these charges was in the “interest of justice.”
According to an affidavit filed in court by the Knox County Sheriff's Office, the victim reported that they had argued in the morning and Grindle and she asked if he was going to put his hands on her again.
The woman told police Grindle had allegedly tried to strangle her a few weeks earlier and left a thumb mark on her throat. The woman said he had never been physically violent before that incident a few weeks earlier.
The woman said he blocked off the driveway with his commercial vehicles and intentionally backed his Tahoe into her vehicle, causing more than $2,000 in damages.
Grindle drove away but was later found by the Sheriff's Office and according to the affidavit, he admitted to threatening her that morning.
Spencer Longobardi, 25, of St. George, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Rockland Sept. 14, 2025, $500 fine, license suspended 150 days; unlawful possession of scheduled drug in Rockland Sept. 14, 2025, $400 fine.
Amanda E. Nicely, 40, of Camden, sexual abuse of a minor in Camden June 8, 2025, dismissed.
Jordan Roling, 31, of Rockport, domestic violence assault in Rockland Sept. 17, 2025, 364 days in jail with all but 50 days suspended, probation two years; violating condition of release in Rockport Dec. 6, 2025, 50 days in jail; domestic violence assault in Rockport Dec. 10, 2025, 364 days in jail with all but 50 days suspended, probation two years; violating condition of release in Rockport Dec. 10, 2025, 50 days in jail.
Lucas B. Ross, 28, of Owls Head, assault on an officer in Rockland Oct. 25, 2025, nine months in jail; refusing to submit to arrest or detention, physical force, in Rockland Oct. 25, 2025, 90 days in jail; refusing to submit to arrest or detention, refusing to stop in Rockland Oct. 25, 2025, 90 days in jail.
Michael Lee Whitten, 53, of South Thomaston, violating condition of release in Rockland Oct. 8, 2025, $500 fine.
Tiffany N. Wilson, 37, of Searsport, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, with priors, in Rockland June 29, 2024, 14 days in jail.
