Ever wanted to try rowing? Now’s your chance! Megunticook Rowing is offering free Learn-to-Row sessions this February and March at the Pen Bay YMCA. Whether you’re brand new to rowing or just looking for a fun winter fitness challenge, this is the perfect way to get started.

Megunticook Rowing’s Winter Learn-to-Row program includes two or three erg (indoor rowing machine) classes that teach you the fundamentals of the rowing stroke-no experience needed! Completing the erg sessions also qualifies you for our spring Learn-to-Row on-the-water course at half the regular price.

This program is open to everyone ages 12 and up. If you get hooked (and we think you will!), you can join Megunticook Rowing for just $50 to continue training all winter-or wait until spring to join after your on-water sessions. Once you complete Learn-to-Row, you’ll be certified to sign up for our full slate of coached Novice programs.

Session Schedule (at the PenBay YMCA):

Tuesday & Thursday: 6:00–7:30 a.m. and 7:30–9:00 a.m.

Wednesday: 6:00–7:30 a.m. and 7:30–9:00 a.m.

Tuesday & Friday: 5:30–7:00 p.m.
