Finntown Road performs in a Reading Room Concert, Thursday, Feb. 19, at 6 p.m., at the Rockland Public Library.

Finntown Road is a group of four Midcoast Mainers who banded together after years of playing music at a local tavern.

Reinterpreting everything from old songs of the sea to folk, rock and popular music, and even some originals, Brian Dunn (mandolin, banjo, vocals), Laura Buxbaum (cello, vocals), John Couch (guitar, harmonica, vocals) and John Monterisi (guitar, tambourine, vocals) are well-loved among local audiences for their engaging performance style and vocal/instrumental arrangements, according to a Rockland Public Library news release.

"Always fun and never stuffy, hanging out with Finntown Road is like sitting together with friends and enjoying the best of American musical traditions," said the news release.

The Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union Street.
