WARREN — Karen S. Guenther, 81, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, May 1, 2026 at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport.

Born in Kittery, May 17, 1944, she was the daughter of Robert and Mary Snow Young. She attended Rockland District High School and graduated from Fort Worth, Texas.

Living for several years in Warren, Karen has been employed with Maritime Energy as well as Park Street Laundry.

When not busy working, Karne enjoyed art, especially painting, and was an avid reader. She always had a good book going and one waiting to be read. She was quiet and kind and kept to herself. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her.

Predeceased by her parents and her partner, Stan Wereley; Karen is survived by her sister, Suan Lombardo and husband Stephen, Sr. of Warren; as well as her nephews, Stephen Lombardo, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Waldoboro and Adam Lombardo of Owls Head.
