Judith M. (Young) Rolerson, obituary
LINCOLNVILLE — Judith Marion (Young) Rolerson, 83, widow of Peter F. Rolerson, died on December 15, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born in Camden on December 10, 1942, she was the daughter of Ivan R. and Bernice (Lermond) Young and was a 1960 graduate of Camden High School. Her classmates nominated Judy as a “good egg”, and anyone who had the good fortune to meet her, would know that described her perfectly.
In the 1950’s, Judy’s family ran a lunch stand at Sunset Cove on Megunticook Lake. Judy enjoyed serving food to people there where she met her future husband and love of her life, Peter Rolerson. They were happily married until his death in 2010.
Judy enjoyed attending the monthly class lunches with her 1960 classmates and visiting those who could not attend. She was also active in her swimming class at the Penobscot Bay YMCA for many years.
Judy was known for having the best crab meat in the area for many years, packaged under Rolerson Crabmeat. Many can remember her up all night at her kitchen table picking crab for the next day’s sale.
Judy loved family and her house was the center of all birthday and holiday festivities. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. Judy maintained a special friendship with Jane Littlefield – her best friend since high school. Judy also loved her community and the yearly family Thanksgiving get-together at the Lincolnville Grange.
Surviving are her two children, Wendy Rolerson, Frank Rolerson and his wife, Mary Ann, all of Lincolnville; grandchildren, Eli and Nica McCusker, Kyle Rolerson, and Alyssa Landrith; great-grandchildren, Saylor, Marina and Noah; sister Rosemary Winslow and her husband, George; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Judy was predeceased by her husband, Peter Rolerson; brothers, Bernard and Lewis Young; and sister Jackie Watts.
Services will be announced in the spring. If desired, memorial gifts may be made to Lincolnville Tranquility Grange, c/o John Lust, 160 Green Acre Rd., Lincolnville.
