Harry S.A. Crockett Jr., obituary
Harry S.A. Crockett Jr. passed peacefully on December 3, 2025 at Portland Medical Center at the age of 77.
Born in Camden on July 3, 1948, to Hazel and Harry Crockett Sr., Harry’s life was defined by his love for family and friends. In his younger years, he shared his musical talents as a member of several local rock and roll bands.
Many knew him as the kind and caring manager of several auto parts stores, where he was known for his genuine greeting, "How you doing, dear?" He often went above and beyond for customers, including opening the store on Sundays if someone was in need of a part.
In his retirement, Harry continued to enjoy time with his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Pam Dunn of Portland; his fiancée, Joanne McCray, and his son Scott Crockett, both of Lincolnville; and his son Tarry Crockett of Mills River, North Carolina.
A celebration of Harry's life will be held this spring, and the date and time will be announced shortly.
