Midcoast Maine Green Burial and Camden Public Library invite the public to a live showing of the film ‘Steelmantown’. The Oct. 1, at 6:30 p.m., film will be presented in the library's Picker Room. There will be time for questions and discussion.
All are welcome.
The film tells the story of Steelmantown Cemetery. Tucked in the Pine Barrens of Upper Township, New Jersey, Steelmantown Cemetery dates back to around 1700 and serves as New Jersey’s first official green burial preserve.
"Once a heavily vandalized and neglected dumping ground, it was miraculously rescued by a local resident and transformed into a peaceful ecological sanctuary and Green Burial Preserve," said a Camden Public Library news release.
