Good Trouble Project's Spring concert to benefit immigrant rights coalition
Event Date
Saturday, May 30, 2026 - 07:00 pmThe Good Trouble Project is presenting its Spring concert on May 30, at 7 p.m., at Pascal Hall. The show will be a benefit for The Maine Immigrant Rights Coalition.
"Based in Portland, this organization does important work, especially at this time, for Maine’s immigrant community all over the state," said the Good Trouble Project, in a news release.
The featured performer for this show will be a reunion of The Lowdown, a band featuring David Dodson, Mike Nickerson and John and Rachel Nicholas. For several years The Lowdown performed at area listening rooms as well as Camden’s 4th of July and Belfast’s New Years By The Sea.
The evening will start with a showcase of other local talent: up and coming songwriter Jackson Day, poet Lucinda Ziesing and trad quartet of Will Brown, Tom Judge, Susan Groce and Michael Fitzpatrick called The Occasionals.
The Good Trouble Project was conceived 4 years ago by local singer-songwriters John and Rachel Nicholas to honor the work and legacy of civil rights activist and congressman John Lewis. Each show is a benefit for a local or Maine based nonprofit. Past shows have benefited Finding Our Voices, Homeworthy, OutMaine, The Knox Clinic, AIO Food Bank and others.
Admission to this benefit concert is $15. One hundred percent of the evening’s proceeds will go to MIRC thanks to sponsorship from Harbor Square Gallery and the Lesher Family Foundation.
Pascal Hall is located at 86 Pascal Ave., Rockport.
