First annual Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County 5K
Take in the autumnal colors on October 4, as you roll, stroll, run, or skip down the Belfast Rail Trail, starting 8:30 a.m., at City Point Depot Station, at 13 Oak Hill Road in Belfast.
All are welcome to join a vibrant community of volunteers, donors, and the wider community for the first annual Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County 5K.
"It's a Flexible 5k, and you don’t have to be a runner to participate," said Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County. "You choose your duration, your speed, and your traveling companions. Strollers, wheelchairs, mobility scooters, bikes, and foot scooters are all welcome to join in the family-friendly fun. There will be delicious awards for 5k runners and others, plus snacks, appropriate hoopla, and great community vibes."
Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County are working with the local group RunBelfast, which organizes runs throughout the season.
This race has a suggested donation of $25.
