I am supporting Chip Curry for reelection to the Maine State Senate. Chip understands that we need to prepare for the climate impacts we can no longer prevent while doing everything we can to prevent the worst impacts from becoming reality—for ourselves, our children, and our grandchildren.

Chip has demonstrated that commitment through his record in the Senate. Maine Conservation Voters gives him a 97% lifetime environmental score, reflecting a strong record of supporting legislation to protect Maine’s natural resources, address climate change, and build healthier communities. His record includes support for protecting clean drinking water, addressing PFAS contamination, planning for the electric grid of the future, and advancing offshore wind.

Chip understands that environmental issues directly impact the health and livelihoods of Maine people. He responded quickly to the emerging threat PFAS chemicals pose to farmers across the state. He championed legislation to phase out the use of these chemicals, ban the spreading of PFAS-laden sludge, and create a fund to support research and help farmers affected by PFAS contamination.

Maine Conservation Voters has endorsed Chip because he has demonstrated that he will stand up for Maine’s natural resources, outdoor heritage, and climate future.

We need leaders who will take the long view and protect the Maine we love. Chip Curry has shown that he will do that. I hope voters in Waldo County will join me in supporting Chip Curry for the Maine Senate.
