NORTHPORT — The Camden-Rockport and Medomak middle school girls soccer teams faced off Saturday, Oct. 23 at Point Lookout in Northport for the Busline League championship.

The scoring began with two minutes left until the halftime break when top seed Camden-Rockport got a 1-0 lead courtesy an Eve Domareki goal.

Scarlett Flint found the back of the net for second-seeded Medomak with 16 minutes remaining in the contest to make it 1-1.

With eight minutes remaining, Camden-Rockport snatched the lead back when Molly Williams scored on a penalty kick.

Flint scored once again with three minutes left to send the game to an overtime session featuring a pair of five minute periods.

In the second period of five minutes, Domareki found the back of the net once again to give Camden-Rockport a 3-2 championship win.

“Today was by far Medomak’s best game all season,” said Medomak coach Andrea Williamson. “It was a team game where everyone stepped up and did awesome. The game was full of back and forth action. There was lots of great tough defense being played and well as a lot of hustle on offense.”
