ROCKPORT — The Camden Hills field hockey clinic will be offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings from June 28 through Aug. 4

“Through games and drills we focus on skills, teamwork, communication, strategic development, and having fun,” said Camden Hills field hockey coach Lindsey Clement.

The summer clinic is directed by Clement, who will be is assisted by Linda Cowan, the junior varsity coach at Camden Hills, and Andrea Garver, the middle school coach at Oceanside, as well as current and former high school players.

The youth group, for those kindergarten through fifth grade, begins with the fundamental basics of the sport, while the middle school group, grades 6-9, fine tunes skills and progress to offensive and defensive strategy.

The camp is open to players entering grades K-12, and no experience is necessary (K-8 players can be from SAD #28, Union #69, or RSU #13). Those in the K-9 groups will attend from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. while those in 9-12 will attend from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The cost is $50 per player or $40 each for siblings.

Players must provide their own mouthguard and shin guards. Without those, participation will be limited due to safety. Sticks are available on a first come first served basis.
