Camden Area Christian Food Pantry meets anonymous donor challenge, distributes multiple grocery cards

The Camden Area Christian Food Pantry has completed its second OTTO Challenge.

A very generous anonymous donor contacted the pantry last summer and challenged the CACFP Board to match a $2,500 donation to be used to buy Hannaford food cards to give to our families.

This initial challenge was met and 45 families were given Hannaford cards during the month of October.  The benefactor offered a second challenge during the holiday season, this time raising their seed money even higher.  Again, the challenge was met and 76 families received cards during the months of January and February.

The CACFP Board of Directors would like to publicly thank the anonymous donor for creating OTTO Challenges 1 and 2.

“Importantly, these challenges were totally separate from any donations received from our annual appeal and from other donations made directly to the pantry,” said CACFP.

The pantry is located at 128 Mt. Battie Street in Camden, telephone (207) 236-9790.  It is open every Tuesday from 8:00 to 11:00 am and every Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
