BELFAST and ROCKPORT — MaineHealth Pen Bay and Waldo Hospitals welcome Bethany Oprie, Physician Associate, to their Palliative Care Belfast and Palliative Care Rockport practices.  

Oprie joins Pen Bay and Waldo Hospitals after a brief retirement, having spent almost 30 years in health care. Prior to retiring, Oprie spent more than 20 years at the VA Maine Healthcare System in Augusta in various primary care provider roles. 

Oprie earned her Master of Health Professions and Physician Assistant Certificate from Northeastern University, Bouve College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Massachusetts.
