Artwork by Scott Moore on display at Stockton Springs library
Scott Moore's artwork is on display from March 1 through May 1 at the Stockton Springs Community Library, located in Colcord House, 6 Station St. (at the corner of Main Street), in Stockton Springs.
Scott Moore was born in Washington D.C. in 1953. Both of his parents were professional illustrators. In 1969, the family moved to Rockland, Maine. He attended the Portland School of Art (now Maine College of Art) and graduated in 1978 with a major in painting.
Moore's work has been exhibited throughout New England, as well as in Charleston, South Carolina and in the Washington area. Painting has been his principal source of income since the early 1990s, according to the Library, in a news release. He has been a resident of Stockton Springs since 1998.
He is currently represented by Argosy Gallery in Bar Harbor, Bayview Gallery in Brunswick, and New Era Gallery on Vinalhaven.
