Artist Hannah Berta to speak on creating complex interactions

Artist Hannah Berta will talk about her work on Sunday, August 24, at 1 p.m., at Page Gallery, 23 Bay View Street, in Camden. Berta's work is a part of the Botanicals exhibition with artists Sal Taylor Kydd and Sarah Horowitz. The exhibit is on display through September 12.
Combining painting and intricate hand cut paper to create complex interactions, Rockport artist Hannah Berta's intimately close view of leaves, flowers, and twisting strands of seaweed half observe, half reveal what lies beneath. Pinned an inch from the background, Berta's cut paper casts shadows on the surface of the painting below.
"With lightness and depth, Berta's pieces show a careful study of moments of beauty in nature," said Page Gallery.
