Connect with plants, personal wellness at free herbalism workshop
The Knox Clinic and Coastal Recovery Community Center (CRCC) are partnering with local herbalist Amie Daniels to offer a free Energetic Herbalism workshop on Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 3 - 4:30 p.m., at the CRCC, at 11 White Street, Rockland.
Energetic Herbalism is a traditional method used by herbalists to match the energetic qualities of plants—such as warm or cool, moist or dry—to an individual’s constitution, also known in Ayurveda as a dosha. By understanding your own body’s natural tendencies, you can choose herbs that help create balance and promote wellness.
"This workshop is a beautiful entry point into herbalism," said CRCC.
Amie Daniels shared why she is providing this workshop: “Learning about medicinal herbs has helped me to learn more about my body and my health. I love sharing this information with others because it is magical and empowering—everyone should know how healing the plants can be!”
Attendees will explore the energetics of several medicinal herbs, learn how to determine their personal constitution, and optionally participate in a taste testing of herbal teas and tinctures.
Amie Daniels studied Clinical Herbalism at Greenwood Herbals in Limerick, Maine, under Debbie Mercier. She lives in Rockland and offers herbal consultations, leads educational workshops and herb walks, and creates small-batch herbal remedies through her practice, Rooted and Lifted.
This event is free and open to the public. No prior herbal knowledge is needed.
