The Lincoln County Recovery Community Center will be hosting a 5k+ road race and kid's fun run on August 22, at its location, 3 Hall St., Newcastle, Maine. Sign in will begin at 8 a.m., with an award ceremony and barbecue to follow.

 

All funds raised by the event will go to anyone in the state in need of treatment for substance abuse disorder, according to a news release. Search for "Go the Extra Mile" 5k race on Facebook for the event page and information on how to sign up.
