Warren Fire Dept. event celebrates 150 Years of Service
The Warren Fire Department invites the community to join in celebrating its 150th Anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Warren Fire station, 177 Western, in Warren. This family-friendly event will feature activities for all ages, honoring a century and a half of dedicated service to the Warren community.
“For 150 years, the Warren Fire Department has been committed to protecting our community," said Chief Greg Andrews of the Warren Fire Department. "This celebration is about honoring that history, thanking our residents for their support, and inspiring the next generation of firefighters.”
Schedule of Events
Touch-a-Truck (10 a.m. - 12 p.m.) – Kids can climb aboard fire engines and emergency vehicles.
Meet Sparky the Dog – The beloved fire prevention mascot will be on-site to greet families and share safety tips.
Live Fire Training (1 p.m.) – Experience a dramatic demonstration of how firefighters train to fight real flames.
Vehicle Extraction Demonstration (2 p.m.) – Watch firefighters in action as they perform a live rescue scenario.
Admission is free.
"Bring your family, enjoy the demonstrations, and celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime milestone with us," said WFD.
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.
