The Hills to Sea Trails Coalition seeks trail stewards to help maintain the 47-mile Hills to Sea Trail and a new 5.5-mile trail in Liberty at Lake St. George State Park and adjacent conserved lands.

The nonprofit also needs help with basic website management.

The trail stewarding involves walking a one- to three-mile trail section four times a year between April and October. The work involves light clearing and refreshing trail blazes. No experience is required and no chainsaw work is involved. An orientation is provided.

The Hills to Sea Trail passes through the towns of Belfast, Waldo, Montville, Freedom, Knox and Unity. The new Bolen Hill Trails in Liberty are accessed from Route 3 near Lake St. George State Park. Support from volunteers is essential in keeping these trails open and in good condition.
